Copain
Monument Tree Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

Bright ruby red, medium depth, but rather deep for Pinot Noir. Initial nose is fresh and fruit-driven (redcurrants, cherries), evolving into fine floral notes and a distinctive mineral, chalky hint. No sign of over-ripeness, obviously cool-climate. Gains complexity in the glass. Medium-bodied with a lovely purity of fruit, mouth-watering acidity and minerality, velvety tannin, well-balanced and elegant, with a long aftertaste. This tastes like a hypothetical blend of a Chambolle-Musigny (for sheer finesse) and a German Ahr Spatburgunder (for the minerality).Lovely wine, delicious now, but certainly has good ageing potential. 2012 vintage. Alc. 13,6 %. 69 euro.

Wonderful red fruit notes. Very light in body and color. Love the herbal tea leaf aromatics.
