The Consilience Grenache is a Sanger family wine from the Santa Ynez Valley in beautiful Santa Barbara County. The alcohol number is a typical 14.5% abv. There is a beautiful cherry nose here with lavender notes. A very floral palate also displays cherry with a leathery thing going on as well as coffee flourishes.

2012 Initially almost undrinkable with oak componnent out of balance.After a few days the oak receded and concentrated red fruit shows thru. with medium plus length and balanced medium tannins and acid.
