Auxey-Duresses Pinot Noir

It felt like a lot more than just a village

Dried red fruit, tart cherry, licorice root, black tea.

Crushed blackberry, black licorice, black tea. A bit of funk, in a good way.

Earth & minerals. Nice fruit. Excellent.

Blueberries, blackberries, black and red licorice, black tea, and a bit of compost pile.

A lovely burgundy from one of the less known AOC internationally but well appreciated in France. This Auxey Duresses, is crafted very well for the village level. Deep Ruby, nose of cassis, red berries, leather, wet forest, mushrooms, full body rich and luscious, lovely smooth tannins and fine supporting acidity, long delicious finish. I would most probably guessed a 1er Cru in a blind tasting. My score 89+, drink to 2020 perhaps longer.

One to leave in the locker for 3 more years.

Very primary right now. Tannin and cranberries. Great length bodes well for future.

Solid red & blue qualities. After a couple hours being open it was quite generous. If blind think I woulda gone OR.
