Upon opening i wasn't so sure about this wine. There was plenty of smoke and concentration and potential but i didn't like it. Day 2 showed much better: cassis, crushed violets, clove, and star anise. Will be better 5-10 years from now.

Nose full of old general store by-the-barrel licorice. Entry a little too dry. Fantastically concentrated tart cherry and currant through a medium-long finish. Will probably be better in another five years.

This was good wine with a complexity of flavors. I enjoyed it but not sure I would add it as a staple to my wine cellar.
