Coincidentally got this in the mail when I have a Sangiovese article due, like yesterday. Organic handpicked grapes, native yeasts. Quintessential Chianti; rustic, with high acid and fuzzy tannins. A good, classic bottle although a bit boring for my taste. Wish I wasn't drinking it without a plate of piping hot pasta, which I will admit may have increased its rating.

Sep 22nd, 2016Tasted Blind. Nailed it. Similar to Rioja without the oak, not black enough to be Rosso, not tannic enough to be Nebbiolo. Reduced, smells like band-aids. Not good. Lots of bad wine out there...
