Badia a Coltibuono, or "The Abbey of good harvest," lies in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, between Florence and Siena. The Abbey is approximately two thousand years old. Deep red with aromas of black fruit and a big earthy nose. On the palate ripe blackberry and cherry with savory tannins, much better than 2010. Medium finish ending with earthy mineral tones. Tasting Sample.
