The 2016 Bramaterra Cascina Cottignano is bold, ample and super-expressive, although it is going to need at least a few years in bottle to be at its best. Even today, though, the wine's depth and overall resonance are both apparent. Dark red cherry, plum, spice, rose petal and earthy notes all flesh out in this potent, exotically rich Bramaterra. The 2016 is flat-out gorgeous, that's pretty much all there is to it. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, April 2020)

Rich mefium Ruby color and a perfect balance of black fruit, tar and earthy violet. This is a lovely, elegant red that is light enough to go with fish and flavorful enough to stand up to a spicy ragu. Total win

The energy is bit too contained but still very refined and restrained take on Nebbiolo.

Absolutely amazing wine - great flavors.
Stands up on its own or great with red meat.

Recommended by manager at Eataly wine store to go with short rib cavatelli. Not tasting the fruit. Doesn't have body.
