Collecapretta (Vittorio Mattioli)
Lautizio Umbria Ciliegiolo

Low SO2 and it shows: massive Brett nose that did not dissipate after 45 minutes. Count me among the skeptics. We moved onto our next bottle. Next day, after a 30 minute decant, it’s finally more approachable. Crunchy brightness, sour raspberry, high acid. Tough to consider this one again.

Feb 10th, 2023Found this to be an extremely approachable natural wine. Yeasty on the nose but lively red fruits + fresh strawberry through the finish. Paired extremely well with a variety of Basque dishes.
