Nov 28th, 2021Dinner compares the two best CA wines we had this year. Colgin of anything was even better than last time with no wood notes. The decant was 3.5 hours and this was a more classical style than the Harlan 1994

Dec 9th, 2018With a 3 hour decant (recommend 3.5 hours) this is a stunningly well balanced wine with kaleidoscopic notes of red and black fruit, caramel, leather, tobacco and myriad other! Occasionally some notes of wood drifted in and out but otherwise s perfect bottle. Went very well with the lamb chops (preceded by the avocado and radish terrine) and followed by the cheese plate. Simply wonderful and highly recommended!

1997 Colgin Herb Lamb Vineyard Cabernet. Drank during dinner w K at Whist at the Viceroy as a warmup to Napa weekend. Awesome. Really enjoyed this! Complex and beautifully structured.
