Côte-Rôtie Syrah

Traditional, good balance of fruit an sinew, vintage imprint is strong. Baked cherry/black plum, perhaps a cassis note in there, hint of prune. Beefy, meaty, leather, late breaking granite, iron and smoke, animal. The clarity lacking, but its muddled and rustic side really gives a traditional feel to it. Day 2 allowed more licorice, herbs, pepper. Tannins have some clunkiness, but meld well with the rocky finish.

Great vintage of a Cote Rotiei have bout several times. BlackBerry, plum wet grass mocha. Drinking mighty fine after a one hour decant.

So young, so savory and tasty.
