Hiiiii I’ve been in a massive Pinot craving rut so here we go. It is very much bright and acidic yet there is a small bit of new French oak hubris. All in all I love acidic but ripe enough Pinot. I’ve had both better and worse NZ Pinot Noir. Like this bunches. Also (until I consider all the hands it changed until I was able to purchase) not sure if I’d spend 30-40 again but darn to heck enjoying new world Pinot.

Tasted the ‘13 vintage not long ago while it was fantastic I felt it just slightly passed its peak. This 15’ is in top form. Nice cherry fruit concentration and freshness on the nose. The palate is a bit richer than the nose suggests with dark plum and abundant earthy elements. Lingering mellow tannins.
Fruits from Wairau Valley. 12 months in French oak barrel, 35% new.

15.5/20 (86/100) Легко узнаваемый новозеландский пино нуар с ароматами вишни с косточкой, чуть незрелей клубники, ванили и поджаренного тоста. Довольно высокая кислотность и гладкие, готовые танины. Неплохо.
