Pale lemon with aromas of stone fruits with light wafts of orange blossom and spice, spent 15 months on new French oak. On the palate rich ripe apple and pear with a touch of zesty citrus fruits, crisp, with toasty vanilla notes. Nice mouthfeel, vivid acidity, medium+ finish ending with citrus mineral spice character.

Oct 4th, 2020The 2016 Chardonnay has a more backward, perhaps more mineral-driven nose than the 2015, lighter yet very well defined and revealing touches of struck flint with time. The fresh, vibrant palate is well balanced, displaying a fine bead of acidity and leading to an elegant finish that just needs to develop more personality. Still a quality Chardonnay, though. (Neal Martin, Vinous, November 2016).
