Faugères Natural Wine Carignan Blend

Blackberry compote, cassis, garrigue, white pepper, game, iron, wet gravel, violets. Rounded acid/minimal smooth velvet tannin balance, medium bodied, juicy texture, earthy-peppery-smoky finish. Funky slightly fizzy texture blows off after 30 minutes, becomes more balanced. Rustic, interesting and alive. Exceeds beyond price point.

Meat and blueberries and so good

Tangy and fresh, with slight effervescence. Tart cherries, berries, and some leather/game funkiness.

A little too funky. My tastes are changing. Points for style, depth.

Deserves high praise. A ton of aromas from almond to wet iron, raspberry, chocolate. Fizz at the start, depth an hour later. Give it time to breathe, but drink a few sips of the unbreathed stuff right after uncorking too.

Too much funk, finish was metallic.

2014. Early Andre 3000. Fizzy, funky, off balance - opens up into something stronger after a few minutes.

So damn mouse & brett ridden that any present varietal qualities are utterly destroyed. Seriously what's the fucking point of a natural wine that's this badly flawed?!? I see none at all.

Bit of bite at first open, hopefully will mellow out. Nice funky flavors. Raspberry, blackberry, dirt. After a bit it taste a bit more floral, maybe a little liquorice. Juniper?
