A gorgeous perfume and palate - just a gorgeous wine. The Viognier giving a noticeable apricot note together with dried black cherry and a touch of cinnamon. Medium to full bodied finishing with supple tannins. This has been the benchmark for Shiraz Viognier in Australia for as long as I can remember.

Jul 29th, 2023Certainly one of Australia's top reds. This is the 2008. Had a glass of the 2012 in a restaurant last night which was excellent. This is also excellent with that beguiling hint of apricot on the nose. Medium weight with White pepper and Northern Rhone spice as usual. Perfect accompaniment to lamb chops. 18.

2008 Vintage. A great example of top flight Aussie winemaking. Very perfumed nose with juicy, but restrained fruit. Nice white pepper on the finish. Classy!

Intense and powerful Shiraz with a really elegant side. Sure, it has jammy cherry and blackberry notes, accompanied by eucalyptus/mint but this wine although full bodied is immensely light footed due to beautifully balanced acidity. Very enjoyable, very vibrant.

Medium bodied yet once open, finishes quite light on the palate for a Shiraz. A beautiful nose complete of orange blossom perfume and bright apricots. Intriguing, attractive and versatile for all meals.
