Mosquito-veinous blood-red color. Smells lovely. Herbal tonic and mixed elderberry-blackberry jelly. Bit of tart cherry as well. Also rosehip tea. Flavor is meaty and savory. Black olives, under-ripe cherries and something sanguine. Hint of light roast cold brew coffee. Hint of hard-candy licorice sweet at the end. This is lovely CA Syrah. Drinking spectacularly.

I guess for the $ this is OK but there are far better values in AUS for what this delivers... soft supple style with dusty black fruit & spice. Something slightly off w/balance between tannins & acidity but still quaffable.
