Climbing Wines
Cool Climate Cabernet Sauvignon
#sample: A big thanks to Cumulus Wines for sending over this bottle of 2015 Climbing Cabernet Sauvignon from the cool climate region of Orange in NSW. Did you know Orange is the highest, sunniest and largest cool climate region in Australia!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Climbing range from Cumulus is inspired by the higher elevation vines (above 600m) and this illustration is from an 1880s Dive Circus poster of Henry scaling the heights inspired by the local extinct volcano 🌋 peak of Mount Canobolas.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the glass it’s a deep garnet shade. The nose exhibits whiffs of black fruits alongside earthy notes of black olives and a hint of tobacco. While in the mouth it’s full bodied with chewy tannins and plentiful black fruits and coffee beans. Winter warmer for sure!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine #cumuluswines #climbingwines #rollingwines #aussiewines #coolclimatewines #redwine
