80% Cab - ABV of 15%

Leather, tobacco, dark fruit note, pencil shaving, tried it after opened for two days. Med plus to high tannin, med acidity.

Blackberry, cassis, cherry cola, vanilla, eucalyptus, raspberry preserves, mocha and oak. Excellent structure and velvety tannins.

We had this 2 years ago this month and remember thinking it was tight and a bit tannic, but everything was in the right place. Since ‘14s are drinking well now we popped this to see where it’s at. At pop it smelled like blueberry pie, I thought it was going to be ready! Didn’t try. Had to go get a pallet of toilet paper. 3 hrs later... not a ton on the nose. The fruit blew off for the most part; graphite, cedar, and tobacco. Mouth is earthy, more tobacco, a little blackberry. Tannic throughout. End is dominated by puckering tannins. Will check back in two years. Don’t think that’ll be enough tho.

New Stags Leap find for me @ £81 / $71 that’s a rich full on Napa but w/ a lovely balanced complexity that should age nicely 👍

Delicious but not “amazing”. Would pass as there are many other better options at this price

Bright fruit. Super tannic. Oak in check. Nice midnight snack.
