Layered, balanced, and showing great restraint at 13.5% alc. Surprisingly green, like New World, Right Bank Bordeaux. Oak is a bit pushy.

I read that this would be “grand” so I paired it with BBQ ribs, instead it was lighter than a Pinot.. ??

Ordered this while sitting next to Jim Clendenen himself.

Complex and layered without biting back - I wanted more, even without a bite of food (though it was perfect with red meat and blue cheese). Plums blackberries clove black pepper. Rich but relenting. Green bell peppers????

Grass notes. Bitter up front. Opens up to heavy citrus flavors (lemon / lime). Dry and crisp. Takes a few sips to get used to if never had before.

A really peppery interesting wind, very distinguishable from run of the mill CA big reds

Can't make my mind up about this. Was expecting something much bigger but very light. Developed after a while and produced a longer g finish of red cherry and tobacco

Did a cheese pairing with this monster. Full of flavor and married well with a rich smooth Vermont cheddar. Complex wine.
