Claypool Cellars
CC Pachyderm Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Light ruby in color with a wide brick rim and medium intensity.
Fruity on the nose with blueberries, cherries, raspberries, earth, sweet red candy, light cinnamon, barnyard, vegetables, wood, milk chocolates, tobacco leaf and spices.
Medium bodied with medium acidity soft and smooth with nice legs.
Dry on the palate with red currants, cherries, cranberries, bitter herbs, vegetables, earth, wet rocks, tobacco and black pepper.
Medium on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a nice Pinot Noir from California. Showing mild complexity and a light mouthfeel. Soft, elegant and balanced.
I chilled it a bit and let it breath for 20 minutes, but it is good right out of the bottle. Definitely an above average Pinot. Peaking now and will be good in the next few years.
Although this is not my style, I really enjoyed it. 100% Pinot Noir grapes.
I paired it with cheeses and crackers.
13% alcohol by volume.
87 Points.
$48.
