Moritz Clarendon Syrah

A guest brought this wine last Sunday for lunch to our place. Oaky and plummy initially but then black and blue fruits emerged with notes of charcuterie. Clarendon Hills and the vineyards they own are a class act. Full bodied.

Very silly smooth syrah. Much lighter than Sine Qua Non but easy to enjoy. Closer to nothern Rhône in texture.

Another Clarendon Hills aged wine I found recently. Spicier and leaner than the Brookman or Liandra Syrah but still full bodied. Very enjoyable

Love it. Vanilla and black berries. Just what I needed after a loooong week

Last of the case. This one has the cleanest nose. Held up the best.

Pnp. Much better nose than the last 2 bottles. This is how the first ones were. Definitely our favorite of the 2006 clarendon syrah line-up.

Just opened. This needs to be decanted big time. super meaty nose.

Excellent. WS 94. Big fruit with cloves, mint and cedar.
