Cherry notes with hints of cocoa and molasses. Soft tannins with great balance. Does not taste Australian (and that's a compliment) at all! Thanks to my Buddy John Pecallier for this one. One of the two best Wines of a 7 Syrah Fourth of July tasting!

Drank with John, Ray, and Tom. Excellent Aus Syrah - 95 in Wine Spectator. John has some great wines in the cellar!

On the nose, there is kirsch, deep forest fruits and a note that I have a hard time describing other than "old". there are ripe blackberries and an intense mouthfeel. Despite this, the tannins remain well integrated. Nevertheless, I was expecting more.
