The 2012 is a somewhat muted garnet color. Initial notes of crunchy black fruits on the nose along with herbs and spice. Medium body with medium acidity but very nice structure. Dense but still lively on the palate. Tobacco and dark chocolate on the palate to go with more dark fruit and spice. Overall a fine effort and the maturity of the wine is a selling point.

57% Merlot, 30% Cab Sauvignon, 13% Cab Franc so it has quite a few characteristics but they fit well together. I like Red Bordeaux wines so I liked this quite a bit.

Wait for at least 30 minutes, calm vanilla aroma, fruity, smooth, rounded. But enough tanning. Mid+, high quality, elegant. 1day, 2days later, much better. It means enough decanting should make it better to feel its concentration. @2400, Enoteca - JH, 180801
