Cibonne
Clos Cibonne Côtes de Provence Cru Classé Tibouren Rosé
Popped and poured; consumed over two days. Salmon colored with notes of melon, strawberry, fresh green beans and slightly waxy. Better as it warms. Wonderful.

Sep 1st, 2020A rare rosé that’s not dominated by primary fruit. This has rosehip, orange peel, mineral salt, peach, dried lavender and herbal, woody notes. Oak tannins. Palate is so lively, textured, broad but tensile, and the finish is looong. Delicious. Second time’s the charm (first bottle was corked)

Jul 7th, 2020Now this is Provence rose. The prettiest peach in color and flavors to match. Berries, orange rind, flowers, and a spicy, slightly pithy finish.

A perfumed, mineral-accented bouquet evokes dried red berries, orange pith, lavender and jasmine, along with a suggestion of peach pit in the background. Silky and broad on entry and then more taut in the middle, offering juicy red currant and blood orange flavors and a hint of anise. Shows a suave blend of depth and energy and finishes long and seamless, leaving behind floral, mineral and red berry notes. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, June 2017)
