Mental nose. Just mental. Spice, florals, lavender, meat, gravy, wow, just a stunning nose. Just so in your face with all thaf cote rotie love. Under all of that there is a feral and super mineral undertone. Incredible dirt aromas. Just insane. 9.7 nose. Maybe 9.8. Palate is young but awesome. Incredible core of black fruits that are very concentrated with tiny berry fruit intensity and just lovely, dusty tannins. So elegant, long and obviously young but damn this is impressive. Will drink this while I cook dinner. It’s so fine.

Super incense nose. Spice. Dark berry fruit. Spicey oak. Mesmerizing. Super concentrated. Very very pure. Balance is stunning. Velvety. Ripe. Accessible. Focused like a laser. Great ripe and sweet tannins.

Day 2 notes. Gorgeous nose. Flowers, meat, gravy, mineral, and so so elegant. Smells like velvet. Yes velvet. Soil tones. So aromatic. Dizzying. Palate is ripe and rich but so elegant and complex. Really floats. Velvety melty tannins and brilliant acidity. Very pure. Amazing texture and so young but really something.

2020 vintage. Popped and poured. Medium-heavy body. Rich, velveteen, smooth nose and proceedings with nary a speed bump. Some necessary dark cherry flavors initially to lend acidity since the back-end tannins are out to lunch. Correspondingly, no tannins and drinking pretty well currently. Can it get better? I could see it hitting a 9.5 in the next decade but that would be the ceiling. Prob settles in best at a 9.4. *edit* tasted 8 hours later after simply placing the cork back in the bottle and rating it a 9.4. Showing more depth/subtleties. Decant this bad bad boy or open well in advance. 10.8.25.
