Jumilla Monastrell

Smoked peat moss and overripe fig on nose. Palate has big bold structured tannins, with a long sour Cherry finish. Craving some blue cheese stuffed olives w this guy

100 % Monastrell. Pretty color. Dark purple to maroon. Smells of violets and tart berries. Hint of smoke. Flavor is deep, dense and intense. Plenty of blue, black and dark red berries. Bit of anise, licorice. Some cherry coke. It’s dry. It’s tasty. It’s unique. Un vino muy bien hecho!

Nov 12th, 2019Really nice for the price ($9) Enjoyed it with a baked Brie and the smoky flavor complemented the creamy, buttery cheese.

Hmm. Sharp. Some dark fruit, but the sharpness trumps it. Let's see how it opens. Not bad, but still pretty sharp. I need to long lay down my other bottle.
