A nice smoky smell and taste on the front end. Very unusual for a Pinot. Wonderful finish at the end.

Grabbed a glass at Riverbend Country Club. Color was opaque ruby red. Nose started with sour cherries or lemon, very tart. This wore off and went to leather and chalk. Finished with mint and wax crayons. There was something off putting in the palate. Like wax. Slightly sweet and very light. As it opened up with more air it led to more fruit. Was smokey too. Moderately light tannins (5/10) with a lighter body, thin and sweet. Finish is short and ends at the mid palate. Not very feminine, which I prefer in pinot.

Tart, acidic, with muted fruit. Better on palate and good with sausage and mustard sauce.

A bit on the ho-hum level. The real Pinot did not come through.

Cherry Pies little sister. A totally everyday Pinot.

Big, fresh, Pinot nose.. High extraction on the body, but not out of balance - acidity to match the big body. Great $20 option for the cherry pie fan.
