Totally unlike the last time I tried it, two years ago. time has done this good- and perhaps some bottle variation is at play here too.

This is sappy and delicious. Herbal character, very pure. Some bo funk. Pinot noir elegance with persistent tannins.

Intense spiciness and black pepper but fruit can’t really stand up. Not quite balanced.

WNH event number two. Rhône varietal wines with TX BBQ...a match made in Heaven!

Not familiar with this producer but this showed really well. Syrah, Grenache, Viognier Blend. If tasting blind, I would have guessed this was a Bordeaux...I got more saddle leather than spice here. There was a dustiness to the fruit (I got red, black and even a touch of blue fruit here). Finish had an herbal and clay note. Really enjoyed this and hope to seek some of this out. Thanks
@Joe Lucca .

Unique winery with a progressive wine making style for the Rhone Valley. Bold wine with massive structure. Held at the winery for several years and bottle aged till they feel it is ready for the public.

Very nice. The more feminine side of the two. Brighter in style.
