Last bottle of vintage. Bright ruby red, light to moderate pigment extraction. Touch of barrel smoke and sulfur in nose. Strawberry with length, also raspberry flavor; later tart cherry flavor emerges in finish. Tart, fresh natural style initially. Fine grained skin astringency emerges two hours on. Needs 30 minutes to open

Pairing Oregon red with binging Blind Spot on a Saturday night. Clear, moderately extracted red-purple in color. Smoke, black olive and black currant notes in nose. Strawberry, cherry and raspberry flavors in mouth, mild cranberry and black currant tartness in finish, peppery seed tannins with tactile pop on finish. Lactic aftertaste. Good varietal character, this Oregon red that deserves more love.

Light and pale ruby red. Layered and interesting nose. Started off a bit musty (not tca) and dirty with a touch of earthiness, burnt or charred wood, a little metallic and a little vegetal. Even a touch of red berries. Moderate acidity (6/10) and light bodied. Tons of cherries with a vegetal touch in the medium finish. Needed a bit of time to open up. Drink from 2018 till 2022.

Very Different from the Beaujolais Gamay, but a cool style none the less.

Big, bright fruit, spicy pallet, high acid finish. It is what you'd expect from gamay, but Wynne Peterson-Nedry likes having another red in her repertoire! It'd like it with food more.

Still very closed. Screwcap therefore some reductive notes, but apart from that clean. Medium weight & texture. Age worthy. Revisit in 5 years????

Really digging the new '13 vtg. Black pepper for days on the nose and killer acid on the palate.
