Such an interesting wine, and I don't just mean the color. Incredibly rustic, nose like wet soil, almost no acid bite, cream. Tastes like the wine in a country dance Renoir painting.

Crisp, dry, smooth. Notes of pear, apple, and citrus.

A fascinating old-school styled rose from Bordeaux. The nose is soft with cherry and damp earth notes. The wine drinks like a light red, it’s juicy and slightly rustic with big acidity. Juicy cherry, plum and cassis flavors lead to bright herbal notes and a touch of earth. The finish is soft and fairly short with pretty red fruits, earth, a bit of funk and lingering, bright acidity. This is best served chilled and goes beautifully with pastas, especially with fresh tomatoes.

One of my last bottle. A Bordeaux Clairet (Rose), drinks like a full bodied red. Not overly complex but pairs well with burgers, skirt steak and ribs off the grill.

Kind if midway between a rose and a red. Fills a niche you didn't know was missing. Pairs well with lots of different foods

2015, Chateau Turcaud, Bordeaux Clairette, 50%Merlot, 50% Cab Franc. Gorgeous transparent Ruby color. Not overly complex but drinks well. Tart red and black fruit, a little smoke, earthy and well balanced. Paired well with pizza.
