Typical Bordeaux dustiness also with aromas of pipe tobacco and ripe plum. From an excellent vintage. Soft developed tannins at full maturity IMO. Not sure of the final breakdown but in the past it has been 65% Merlot 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% each of Cab Sauvignon and Malbec. A good example of a Right Bank Claret.

Really nice but needs more time or longer decant.

A TM in great shape, and so young! Very happy with this OWC. It’s delivering from te je start to the end of the bottle

2000 Troplong Mondotte. a nice bordeaux though thin on fruit. i would have liked to see more fruit and more richness. this was thin and the tannins were more astringent than i would expect in a 16 year old wine.

Started off slowly, not tight but not particularly inviting, but came alive after 2-3 hours open. Was a very nice yin yang with Talbot in terms of flavor profile.
