Interesting and tasty chenin w age but not a top one. Still lively w pear n white peach yet wool but not cellar. Good not wonderful.

Crisp and dry with a bitter, briney finish. Reminiscent of Muscadet, but not as light (13.5% alc). Give it an hour of air.

what a delightful oddity. when it comes to age worthy whites, Saumur Blanc is rarely mentioned. aroma of cheese rind on opening; shutdown at first, gradually unfurling white pepper, lightly oxidized golden delicious apple, beeswax, lanolin, and grated horseradish. oh and the acidity gave me life. (drink now) #cheninigans #chenin #saumur
