I like the heady, graphite, blueberry jam notes, super light on its feet, good acid and some tannin.

Tension between dark berry fruit and textural tannins eventually yields to some acidic depth & a red fruited note on the finish. A structured take on Gamay.

From a double-magnum on New Year’s Eve Vibrant youth full color with nary a sign of age. Blueberry, black raspberry and black cherry fruit that is still very primary. Great graphite accents with a hints of pepper and nutmeg. Lush and textured palate with berry fruit tones, round tannins that provide structure but never intrude. Acidity is bright adding freshness to the fruit. I would have expected a bit more development even with the bottle size. Superb with rabbit braised with white wine and shallots and beef daube.

2010 in a really good place now. Soft fruit, plenty of acidity, just a touch of funk.

Blueberry, red plum and cassis fruit with mineral hints plus Asian spice. Juicy fruit in palate wit ripe, round tannins with blueberry fruit.

Perfect Thanksgiving wine & a huge hit as first bottle drained.
