Grand Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon

Dark ruby in color with a brown/ brick rim. Actually, very interesting color.

Nice nose of blueberries, plums, strawberries, blackberries, cherries, vanilla, oak, licorice, green pepper and peppercorn.

Full-bodied with no apparent legs and nice acidity.

Dry, and somewhat watery on the palate with blackberries, cherries, blueberries, oak, forest floor, black pepper and spices.

Medium finish with gripping tannins.

This is a young Cabernet from the Barossa Valley, from one of the oldest wineries in the area. It has lots of potential to mature very nicely in the next 3 to 8 years.

Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

A nice flavor with some fruit sweetness

Fragrant with herb and blueberry. Rich and fruit driven. Soft tannins round out the finish.

A nice young cab with lots of fruit.

Strong on the nose. Cotton candy, currants, blackberry, and a touch of smoke. Smooth and a good value. I would buy again.

Sweet fruity smells with a rich but subtle flavor to start. Easy to drink with a smooth finish. Very nice wine but it must be aerated before. Letting it sit for 20 - 30 mins before hand really helps. Costs $23

Mm... Not my favourite.. Maybe it needs to air a bit?

Needs to breath, then it's devine.

Blackberry preserves, cassis, mossy earth, mocha and licorice. Great structure and bold.
