Founded in 1934, Chateau Ste. Michelle is the oldest winery in Columbia Valley, Washington, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruit and oaky notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of cacao and oak. Fine tannins, full body, finished about medium and had plenty of character.

Dec 16th, 2021Had the 2020 in November of 2024. What an interesting wine. Big dark fruits up front- boysenberry is what the label says as I was having a hard time placing this. Not cherry or strawberry or currant. Fuller bodied with a hint of spice that sits on your tongue for a bit and then drops right off. I would drink this one again.

Nov 1st, 2024Previously bought the 2017 vintage at Costco which was very good. 2018 vintage also good, but open ahead and let it air or decant a bit.
