Classic Bordeaux. Great blackberry and currant flavors, supplemented by cigar box, leather, and crushed stone. Medium-to-full bodied, with supportive, but velvety, tannins. Inky, with ridiculous legs. Has terrific balance and depth.

Good but not exceptional Bordeaux, and at $47, a disappointment. Powerful, it must be consumed with steak. Almost no nose. One could do as well with many $30 Bordeauxs.

Darkly delicious fruits, black cherry, dark currants and cassis. There's also chocolate, sand, and hints of earth. It's balanced by just enough acidity and tannins. Nice feel in the mouth, almost creamy.

Wonderful nose with cherry, hints of tobacco. Slightly tannic and young mouth feel. Long finish. Believe structure will mature nicely with age.
