May 29th, 2016To my palate, I like it but not best. I ordered this as my first wine, took a drink before eating anything after lunch. My lunch was topical healthy Japanese food. So after the first sip, I wanted it to be rounded, sweeter. But with salty ham, i felt this wine was so pleasant. (cheese, nuts didn't work well until I ate ham) Earthy, woody, black currant, tobacco, full flavor. After the Jamon Serrano, everything changed and got so much better. Definitely work with salty foods. If you eat salty food at everyday meal, you'd love it.
