2016 vintage. A delicious Saint-Emilion from the Vauthier family, and slightly ( about at least 40 times) less expensive than Ausone 2016. Don't expect anything flashy, this is an understated gentleman who feels no need to be the loudest in the room, but offers you a real captivating conversation. 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. This is a steal at 26 euro. Abv. 13,5%.

Credit to the owner: aged perfectly, not a flaw in sight. Cured meat on the nose. Palate is all smoke and ashes, salami, forest floor and dead acidity. What an experience. It’s really showing we for it’s 30 years of age.

Pretty nice juice that hardly shows its age. Pop and pour shows awkward earth, tar, and tobacco, but surprisingly primary and full of tart cherry with some air.
