Nice blend. The cab adds berry notes, the merlot adds smoothness, but I enjoyed the tannins

Pop and pour through a decanter, let the glass sit about 30 minutes.
NOSE: black cherry … a little chocolate. Not much else.
TASTE: chocolate cherries, wood ash. It’s fine, but I disagree with the Wine Enthusiast score. 86.

65% Merlot/35% Cabernet Sauvignon. Plum, cherry, violet aromas and flavors with hints of tobacco and earth. A bit oaky on the finish. Bright with soft tannins. Thank You Ron B!

This is a good Bordeaux. It’s smooth on arrival with a bit of complexity and a very gentle velvet finish. I could have this today, and tomorrow, and the day after.

Was looking for that elusive $10 wine that over-delivers so I can buy by the case... this is not it. Dark & inky w/ decent fruit on nose (mainly dark fruits) but it had a musty dusty edge to it, no complexity or nuance, soft pliable tannins & hot spot acidity thru the rustic finish.
