I’ve had my mind on this bottle for a few weeks - the wife wanted a special bottle for a regular Friday night. It only needed an hour to decant for a 12-year old vintage. Subtle cassis, cured meat, mushroom, hint of licorice and leather on the palate. Fine dense tannins polish off a savory finish. Beautiful wine. #margaux #2ndgrowth

Jan 18th, 2020Delightful 2nd #grandcruclassé from #margaux - needs a lot of time to open up but your patience is rewarded with a subtle but deep berry nose with some forest floor, mushrooms and light spice. Tannins are well integrated and slide into a long finish. Just goes down so easily.
