Very expressive floral and graphite nose that had the intensity of perfume. A dinner companion said she would like to wear it. The palate was silky bordering on soft. Not very complex. How I was hoping the palate was close to the nose.

A splendid wine from the underrated 2008 vintage, I have had this Margaux on several occasions with multiple vintages and it is very consistent in quality. This 2008 is still young and needs a bit more time to show it full potential, yet the wine is already showing beautifully with black current, coffee, chocolate, earthiness, full body with firm dry tannins, superb balanced acidity and a long elegant finish. Go for it. My score 89, drink to 2028

Ruby core still , thin garnet rim . A bit of development , quite cool spicy black fruits , touch of earthy , mineral notes , tobacco. After a while more red fruit , floral notes , elegant . Quite linear and cool on the palate , dark cedar blackcurrant fruits . Nice balanced acidity and quite gritty tannins still . Ok length , with mineral and saline finish . Good to drink now and over the next 10 years

16/20 (88/100) В первом носе много «аптечных» тонов, в развитии - ежевика, чёрная смородина, лавровый лист, ментол и кедр, заметная нота зеленого перца. Высокая кислотность и слегка вяжущие танины. Можно пить сейчас, но лучше подождать пару лет.
