This is something else. Rejected from Bandol AOC. 100% Mourvèdre, aged a full year—half in cement egg, half in 15 hectoliter cask. Brilliant neon copper color. Nose is citrus peel, garrigue, and some heat. Palate is melon, citrus rind, fruit liqueur, strawberry. Not sweet or confected. Bitter finish. Wild.
