Second growth Sauternes showing well after meal with friends. For some reason seemed to be more complex than my first bottle several months ago. Chunky marmalade & lanolin notes, oh so integrated after 16 years in bottle. Still fresh & with some snap.

A second growth Sauternes , vintage- broken out for a slow roasted grapefruit/ carmelized whole chicken. Great texture & viscosity & orange hue. Still, body is second to flavor here.

2008 drank in 2018. Way past it’s prime. Weak, though some pleasant apple flavors lingered

Pear, honey and toasted sugar, sweet but not sickly, not overly viscous or heavy either, great accompaniment to a key lime dessert.

Great tropical fruit, by palette is sickeningly sweet.
