Modern style wine. Not my style but well made for its type.

Surprisingly young in the bottle with a beautiful garnet color and characteristic Bordeaux sous bois on the nose. Hints of cedar and toasted oak to complement dark fruit and ever present tannic structure. A delight!

This is a nicely soft and well aged wine that reflects the Right Bank. Still a well structured wine with tannins that will extend the life for at least another 10 years.

Nice aged Bordeaux but had a 30 min window where the fruit was delicious and afterward the fruit faded and the tannins poked.

Even at almost 17 years old this is still very much on the young side. Very dark in color with still tons of tannins. Black licorice, chocolate and cigar. Fantastic bottle only got better. I enjoyed this fine bottle with a 32 ounce dry aged Tomahawk Ribeye steak then shared the bone with my dog. She looked at me like a Greek God as I handed over the remains. Woohoo it’s the weekend!!

I've had this before and liked it much more. This one has a very strangely bitter after taste at first that I've not experienced before in wine. That eventually mostly blew off, and then the wine could shine through. Great classic-ish nose but a bit too new world for me.

Since we knew the now deceased owner our rating might be influenced but we rated it 99 on a scale of 100.

Very nice - deep and pretty powerful, with good tannins, fruit, and acid.
