Château Pape Clément
Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend
Road tar, currants, cassis, and some higher levels of brett on this one. The palate has some really nice depth with dark fruit of blackberries and cassis, but the brett is a little too strong and somewhat overpowers the flavors. Drink now before it gets much worse.

Apr 8th, 2015Surly, dark & brooding as usual but lacking weight. Storage problem perhaps.

May 26th, 2013Whoa this is a huge very masculine wine. Nose is classic Pessac - cassis, cedar, tobacco and oak - just incredible. Palate is lush and concentrated - black cherries, cassis, currants, leather, cedar, tobacco and some oak. Finish is super long. A bit strong on the oak for my taste and just a tad too powerful, but this is still very fun drinking.
