White Bordeaux Blend

Someday I'll find a great white Bordeaux. Today is not that day.

Nice white Bordeaux blend. Very drinkable. Paired well with poultry and a variety of foods.

Deep straw yellow with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits. On the palate melon, pineapple with a touch of peachy flavors, high acidity, crisp and a bit drying, noted on this medium body wine. Short finish. Tasting Sample.

More tart than the other French whites we’ve tasted today. Fruity, lemon, pineapple, with a tart finish on the back end. Like it a lot, but better wines at the price point that we’ve sampled today.

A nice, crisp Bordeaux for for a warm afternoon on the patio.

I am tasting the 2019 vintage on September 16, 2020. The nose comes across like New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with pungent, sour fruit and grassiness. The palette tones that down with creaminess that I assume is Semillon, although the pungent notes come through. This seems more like a New World wine than an Old World one, with little to distinguish the terroir.
