Red Bordeaux Blend

My first advent calendar wine from France. Not sure if this is the correct wine though. It’s delicious! Full body with lots of dark fruit.

Interesting. Bit tart through the body. Kind of shrill. But as a btg it may open... good fruit.

Aroma is slightly earthy and gamey. Some notes of dried berries. Flavors are more dusty, pears, blueberries, dried strawberries, etc.

Fantastic with chocolate.

Medium bodied, good legs, delicate heady scent... Plum and cherry and oak. 50% Merlot, 40% Cab, 10% Can Franc. Decanted for 30 minutes before trying it. A little tart at first, then immediately mellow, with a nice tannic finish. Having with almonds turkey, blackberries and prosciutto.

First wine tried on this app! A little better than ok. May be giving me just a little headache. Only one glass.

Strong start with little finish. Good overall, but a little alkaline.

Food middle-of-the-road Bordeaux. Dry with some cherry undertones.

Really good. Strong. No fruitiness. Just the Bordeaux.
