Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé Red Bordeaux Blend

1989 vintage. Not in the same league as the recent vintages, but held up surprisingly well.

Lovely! Opened in 30 minutes a 1989 great vintage. Cork was perfect and typical graves earth and tight dense dark fruit, gooseberries. With my lamb shank it was great match!

Solid Bordeaux.

Magnum

A lovely, elegant, nicely aged red Pessac/Graves. Soft, cedary and black cherry aromas. Light and fresh on the palate. Fruit acidity and dusty tannins linger long on the palate. Perfect now and a year or two come.

A bit past it’s peak.

This was aces. From magnanimous also. Lots of big bottles today. As it should be when over 50 people are wandering about...thirsty. #freundfest2018

Really impressive, lots of fruit, structure left. Need to buy more of it.
