Château Musar
Musar Jeune Cinsault Syrah
This Lebanese red blend is rich and fruity with earthy notes. Medium bodied and big, with firm tannins, nice mouthfeel and a nice finish.
This is their entry level red blend. Needs an hour to open up properly and will be better in a couple of years.
A blend of 50% Cinsault, 30% Syrah and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Unoaked.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
88 points.

Awesome nose of fruits and cherry tobacco. Characteristic Musar VA. Good lenght. A perfect BBQ wine.

May 17th, 2018In typical Musar fashion, this bottle treads the line of smoked meats and ripened red fruit. Would be ridiculous with some soft mild cheeses.

Aug 9th, 2017What a wonderful wine. Great tension between the fruit and tannins. And delicious. Really wonderful. It does benefit from decanting, and a few more years would be fine. But this would be a great burger wine, or barbecue, or any red meat: this wine is really a great food wine—and a lot of juice for the money, as they say.
