Jul 7th, 2019This Roussanne/Vermentino blend is from France’s Rhône Valley, but it utilizes a grape better known as a denizen of Italy. From the Costiere de Nimes AOC, the Chateau Mourgues du Gres looks pale gold in the glass. The nose is bright, with citrus, salinity and the smell of wet rocks. On the palate, big minerals. Stones. Zest. It brings everything you like in these two grapes.
