2019 vintage. Costières de Nîmes AOC. Organic farming. A blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and a dash of Syrah (and Carignan in some vintages). Light salmon colour. Rather timid flowery nose with a hint of watermelon. Juicy watermelon and white peach fruit in the mouth, round and fresh with a mineral/spicy finish. Very good value at 9.50 euro. Abv. 13%.

Bright peach skin. Ripe strawberry, melon and tangerine aromas and flavors, along with a subtle floral quality. Round and fleshy in texture, showing gentle sweetness on the nicely persistent finish, which features a repeating melon note. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, June 2020)

Crisp, burnt orange, reminds me of Grand Marnier. High alcohol. Subtle sweetness. Perfect for a hot summer night.

Sometimes I go with the first thing I’m handed at the complimentary wine tasting, it saves everyone time. The people at The Parlor are just so nice. This one was fine.
